Whitey sold Wrangler and a litter mate to Alfred Jones. Alfred let Mike Rhodes buy wrangler and Alfred kept the gyp. Mike ended up selling Wrangler back to Alfred and Alfred let my boy Cory Lashley enter him in a few hunts for Alfred. Wrangler placed 8th in a hunt at Burketts fox pen, he placed 9th at ken Goodwin's pen, he placed 4th at Burketts Fox pen and he places 2nd at Parker's fox pen. The only hunt wrangler didn't place in was a 3 day hunt at Carolina fox pen and he did finish the hunt. Billy Johnson got wrangler from Alfred and placed him in several hunts since he has had him.
The value of this hound will be in the stud service. The Levi and Look cross is some of the very best July breeding around today and there isn't a ton of it out there. Wrangler was a strong representative of the bloodline that Whitey Turner continues to have success with. I think if Whitey and Brenda had him he could have won some major hunts because he is a field trial specialist. If you like the white July hounds that WBT Kennels have then this is an opportunity to buy in. If you don't want that then this hound wouldn't do you any good.
I've had the opportunity of judging Wrangler at a couple of hunts and was very impressed by what I saw. If I were a July man in the three day business, I wouldn't hesitate in the slightest to breed, or better yet purchase him.
Well john, up until you told what hunts wrangler placed in, you told a lot of information that didn't really matter
Well ??, my post was to let folks know that Wrangler the DEER DOG was placing in hunts in half the shape he could have been in. You see ??, Wrangler was getting ran a couple times every other month. So that means at best he was placing in hunts in half the shape he could have been in. So ??whoever you are, if your not interested in buying Wrangler then your whole post didn't really matter. Jon your first post had nothing in it about how wrangler was not in shape. It told a bunch of crap at the beginning of who all has owned wrangler. Then said, what hunts he placed in. At least get your story strait. And no, I'm a walker man. I wouldn't own a July.
